SOLS edu ACE App
A free English learning app for Malaysian students preparing for SPM.
SOLS edu ACE App
Built around the exam you are actually sitting
ACE is a free English app for Malaysian students sitting SPM. It covers all four papers, Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening, in the formats the exam itself uses, and its trial examinations are timed the way the real ones are.
- 100% free
- Aligned to the real SPM English formats
- Science-backed learning methods
Languages in the app
Taught in a language you already think in
The app runs in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Bahasa Indonesia. A student whose English is the thing being fixed should not have to decode the instructions before they can start, which is the same reason SOLS teaches in the learner’s own language everywhere else.
The placement test
It finds the gap before the exam does
A teacher can see how hard a student is working: the late nights, the extra past papers, the days they come in tired and try anyway. What nobody can see is whether that work is going to the right places. The answer usually arrives on results day, when nothing can be done about it.
So ACE starts with a placement test built on the real SPM English format. It asks the kinds of questions the exam asks, which is how ACE can tell you exactly which part of which paper is losing you marks.
You get back a study plan. ACE works out which papers and which skills are costing you most, then puts those lessons first. In a year when there is never enough time to revise everything, that is what decides where your hours go.
For a teacher, that picture arrives for a whole class at once, and early, instead of one marked paper at a time. It tends to confirm what the examiners keep telling teachers about where marks are actually lost.
The four papers
Practice in the shape of the real exam
SPM English is four papers, and each one is worth the same: 25% of your grade. The paper you never practise costs you exactly as much as the paper you are best at.
ACE covers all four, with trial tests that follow the real exam format and run to the real time limits.
